Goa Butterfly Expedition

Verlem Eco Tourism and Co-operative Society has taken up the initiative of organizing the “Goa Butterfly Expedition” from the 12th to the 16th of November, 2014. The expedition includes 5 days of exploring the forests of Goa for butterflies and loads of other fauna, intending to promote responsible tourism and conservation in the hinterlands of Goa. People participating will be visiting 3 sanctuaries but the main focus will be on the Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary, where we will be hosted by the Verlem Ecotourism Co-operative Society, the first of its kind in the State of Goa in their project “Aangan”. Another attraction will be the butterfly garden at Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary and the Tamdi-Surla Waterfall trail in Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary. There are a bunch of night trails planned, for those participants bold enough to try them out.
The cost for the expedition is Rs.7,500/- per person from Panjim and heading back to the capital. The tariff includes travel, stay, all meals and sanctuary entry fees. The brochure for the same is attached.
