‘Moving to Goa’ Book Launch

Venue: Sunaparanta, Goa Centre for the Arts, Near Army House, Panjim.

Time: Friday, 24th January 2014. 7 PM.

It is always a delight when a wanderer and an explorer enters a new environment and gleefully dives headfirst, soaking in anything and everything around him or her like a sponge. Katharina Poggendorf-Kakar is no different. An anthropologist, Katharina has always delved in the Indian culture, studying Indian Art History at Free University. The founder of Tara Trust, an NGO dedicated to promote the education of deprived children in India, Katharina relentlessly works on bettering the society and spread the right education through the masses.

Her latest work, “Moving to Goa” describes her journey, her experience, and her dwelling in a whole new world. The launch will include a short reading followed by a heartwarming conversation with Goa’s well-known architect, Dean de Cruz.

The entry is free, so feel free to walk in and listen to a fresh new perspective of our dearly beloved Goa.
