Once again, Goa engineering college will be organizing Goa’s favourite international photography festival, PhotoFlare, and as usual it will be the biggest one yet. Just around the corner, this year, they are targeting not only photographers and photography enthusiasts but people interested in learning the arts as well.
The event will be divided into two separate parts:
The first part
A photography competition in which participants will have to submit their entries online, via the PhotoFlare website.
The themes for this year’s online competition are Culture, Seasons and Black & White.
Participants can submit 1 photo per theme before the 15th October 2015.
Top prizes worth Rs. 30,000 are up for grabs this year.
The second part
A three-day exhibition, held over the 23rd, 24th and 25th of October to showcase the top 20 photographs per theme. It will be held at the Kala Academy, Panjim. Entry to the event is free and open to people of all ages, students, professionals and art lovers. In addition to the exhibition, there will be free workshops, expert talks, and a photo walk, open to all.
