Visitors peruse the eclectic array of goods at Anjuna’s flea markets

From October, Anjuna’s flea markets draw capacity crowds every Wednesday. Shoppers scour stalls where an eclectic array of good are on offer including crafts, clothing, jewellery and produce.

The vibrant and noisy atmosphere is often heightened by animated stall owners calling out and vying for custom from shoppers who can try their hand at bartering for a good price.

Located at the south end of the beach, a visit to the markets also provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy a chai with locals or meet fellow travellers.

Heralding back to the 1960’s when hippies would hawk their wares, the markets have grown to become a tourist draw card in its own right and are a must-do for any visitor to Goa.
