Weekly Movie Nights in Goa

Odds are it’s already raining and all you really feel like doing is curling up indoors anyhow. So why not take advantage of the growing number of local Goan establishments hosting movies nights throughout the week. Whether you’re a Bollywood buff or more of an indie film lover, you’re sure to find something to fit your fancy this monsoon season. And while the weekend is always a popular time to hit up the Inox  and catch up on the latest releases, there are also a variety of alternative films being shown every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Mondays | 8:00pm | Socially Conscious Film Screenings hosted by People Tree at 6 Assagao

Tuesdays | 7:30pm | Foreign Films hosted by the Wallfly Film Club at Cantare in Saligao

Wednesdays | 6:30pm | Film for Thought held at Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts, Panjim

However do note that this week the Wallfly Film Club will also be hosting a special event on Saturday  June 28th at 7:30pm in collaboration with Balcão and joining global pride celebrations by hosting ‘Colour Me Queer: A Night of Performance and Film in Goa’. Promoting an evening of queer voices from India, featuring a live performance and short films on sexuality and gender. There will also be a screening of the french film ‘Piece Montee’ (Wedding Cake) by Denys Granier-Deferres on Tuesday night June 24th at 6:30pm at the Alliance Francaise in Panjim this week.

The Entertainment Society of Goa, Panjim is also a great place to keep an eye on for any film lovers as they are often hosting various festivals and related workshops throughout the year.
