World Music Day by Alliance Francaise | MOG

The ‘Fete de la Musique’ more commonly known as the World Music Day started in France to make music popular in society and is celebrated globally on the 21st of June.

Alliance Francaise in association with Museum of Goa (MOG) and event partner Fratelli are presenting the ‘World Music Day’ on the 23rd of June at the MOG complex at Pilerne in Goa. There will be a live concert by Franco/Indian band ‘Whatever Witch.

Whatever Which is a duo comprised of Dj and musician Axailes Solar and multi-instrumentalist and singer Ranjit Arapurakal. Axailes Solar, one of Goa’s most recognised DJs, was featured in the 2010 publication of Lonely Planet Goa. Ranjit Arapurakal is an emerging musical talent with Indian roots. Trained in Western Classical and modern music, he also has a strong sensibility of American Rock & Roll.

Together Axailes and Ranjit have created Whatever Witch as a duo performing live with acoustic instruments, vocal, electronic and techno loops, etc, which is a unique style of TechnOpera.
