Goa’s delicious tropical fruit is to be savored
Tropical fruit, such as pineapples, mangos, bananas and coconuts, produced by local growers form the majority of cash crops around Goa. These can commonly be brought from local markets all around the region and are a staple in much of the local Goan cuisine on offer such as curries and stews. There is also truly nothing more refreshing than a fresh juice, smoothie or lassi on a hot day in Goa.
Don’t forget to keep an ear out for hawkers calling out ‘Pineapple, Papaya, Coconut!’ on the beaches who will happily cut up your choices right in front of you to enjoy.
