Goa Marathi Film Festival 2014
Come rain or storm nothing can stop the explosion of culture at its best with the magic of movies. It’s captivating, exciting and is guaranteed to transport you to the world of creative imagination and introspection.
The 7th edition of the Goa Marathi Film Festival 2014 will raise its curtains today with a glittering opening ceremony that is sure to dazzle. Beginning with a screening of the much-awaited film ‘Rege’.
This festival has come a long way since its conception in 2008 with over 5,000 people, industry professionals, celebrities and the local and national media attending it with keen enthusiasm. Buzz into the city and spend the weekend walking around the cobbled streets of Panjim catching movies at Kala Academy, Maquinez hall and Inox Multiplex. One can also sit in on exciting workshops and interactive sessions throughout the weekend with various artists and well known personalities in the film industry.
Films to watch out for are tonight’s ‘Rege’ by Abhijit Panse, ‘A Rainy Day’ by Goa’s national award winning director Rajendra Talak, Gajendra Ahire’s bone chilling thriller ‘Anvatt’ and Ravi Jadhav’s innocent teenage love story ‘Timepass’.

Inauguration at 6pm followed by 7pm Screening | June 8th – 9th all day screenings from 9:30am to 7:30pm
