Music Festivals and Events
Goa plays hosts to a number of music festivals, international and national. These festivals pull thousands to the Goan shores and go on into the night. Sunburn Music Festival, Asia’s largest dance music festival, brings in some of the best DJs from around the world. This multi crore project attracts people from all over the world for three days of intense music, dance and drinks. Located on the shores of Candolim, sunburn displays Djs like Hardwell, Tiesto, Albin Myres (Sweden). BT (USA), Funkagenda (UK), Pearl (India), Richard Durand (Netherlands), Sander Van Doorn (Netherlands) and Sashanti (India) among the many who perform at this festival. This festival is usually held in the month of December or January.
The Big Chill, is yet another music festival, a of its kind show usually hosted on the shores of Asvem. Indivibe Final Wave, yet another music festival which showcases some of the best in its genre from around the globe.
In October, one of the most famous festivals, known all around India is the Oktoberfest which takes place in October for two days. It is filled with music, beer and entertainment with a large variety of foods.
Quiet and Peaceful Nightlife in Goa

The beaches of South Goa are some of the quietest and most romantic beaches in the world. Velsao beach provides you solace and freedom from the crowded beaches of the North. Other quiet beaches of the South include; Kakolem beach (situated 7 km from Cabo de Ram), Zalor beach (situated 14-15 km from Margao), and Consua beach to name a few. The sinquerim beach in the North may not be as crowded at night as it is during the day.
Incase you would like a long romantic walk with your better half, then, as the name suggest, Lovers beach is the place to be (situated to the north of Betalbatim). The Fort at Sinquerim, Fort Aguada provides a sand-free and breezy environment to sit around with friends and have a good time.

Goa is known for its greenery and vegetation. the Western Ghats provide an amazing venue for nature lovers. If you have the adventurous spirit, you can go trekking and camping in Goa. The Government of Goa arranges a number of trekking adventures and days out in the jungle near the Karnataka border. Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, along with other forest preservation departments in Goa provide an excellent ground for night camps and trekking out in the wild.
