Why is November the Best Month to be in Goa?
Could there possibly be a better time to visit Goa? Probably not. November marks the beginning of the peak season in the state. You can bet your bottom dollar that most of the attractions and activities are open including the beachfront stalls, street side shops, restaurants, bars, and the beach shacks. The nightclubs are fully functioning as well.
But why is November the perfect month for your vacay to Goa? Let’s find out.
How’s the weather in Goa during November?
With over 9 hours of sunshine every day there’s plenty of daylight to be had. And of course there’s the usual after-dark stuff. The average sea temperature is around 29°C. Most spend their day having an easy-breezy time by the sea shore as the waters are just perfect this time of the year. Make sure to avoid direct sunlight, particularly between 11 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon, when the sun is the strongest.
Expect light showers once a week or so, usually at around 5-6pm. Consider carrying a small umbrella as said showers can be very unpredictable. Goa doesn’t have a proper winter season as such but the November nights are slightly cold and can be said to have the ‘Jacket Weather’.
What shouldn’t you miss in Goa during November?
Yeah! You saw that coming, didn’t you? Most watersports in Goa are usually shut down during the monsoons i.e. From July to September. Business resumes with the onset of October. However the real grind starts only in November. Expect every water sport imaginable to be available. Need for speed? Speedboating is for you. Wannabe Tony Stark? Check out flyboarding at Baina beach. No need of any Vibranium here 😛
Groovy Clubbing scenes
Goa’s nightlife scene is hot… Yes, yes, those are real people going into the club, even though they look like they’ve been freshly pampered. Goa may not be the largest state in the country, but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up with its 24-hour party potential. With all those outgoing tourists moving around, you can expect every darn club in the state to be awaiting you with arms wide open, Be it Tito’s, Capetown Cafe, Sinq or LPK.
Some special parties are invite only. So be sure to have some local contacts to get you an access 😉

Accommodations in Goa during November
Unfortunately the rooms & rentals at this time of the year can be really expensive due to the high demand & influx of tourists. But you can still get a discount at some luxury villas and apartments if you make it in the first week of the month. There are some fantastic properties to choose from, both in the North and the South. A beach side hut is also a great and affordable way to enjoy a more relaxing time.
