Postcards from Goa, with Praveen Yarramilli

This is a glimpse at Praveen Yarramilli's 2018 series

'Beaches of Goa'

A series that consists of 10 illustrations, including Ashvem, Anjuna & Palolem pictured above, along with those of Aguada, Arambol, Miramar, Morjim, Mandrem, Candolim & Chapora. Clean, simple and equally beautiful, each work is his own interpretation of how it feels to soak in the sunset at that beach. You can find the full series on Behance here.

Born and raised in the eastern coastal town of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Praveen made the move to Goa after a stint in Gurgaon in 2017. You can read more about that experience and how his arrival to Goa inspired the evolution of his artwork in an interview with CNTraveler here.

But when we asked him what it was like coming to Goa, he put it very simply:

"It was one of the best things that had happened to me. The beauty, the nature, the people and the community adds so much joy to my daily life. I never imagined that a place can make me feel this way, Goa is lovely"

Describing his ideal day at home as a mix of to do's and with ample leisure time..."having people over for dinner, going out on short drives and appreciating the moon :)"

We love that.  Oh and one fun fact about this designer you might like to know...

He has an identical twin! "...if that accounts for a fun fact :)" he adds.

Now off to market!
