Follow The Light
Bringing together 45 Artists and Scientists from 14 Countries, The Story of Light Festival (Goa, India) Creates a Magical Playground for the United Nations International Year of Light 2015
The year 2015 has been declared The International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies by the United Nations (Light2015.org), and The Story of Light (thestoryoflight.org) marks one of the first-large scale international events in their calendar. SOL is also the first art-science-convergence festival to be conceived and hosted in India.
The festival applies light—its beauty and universality and its connections with science, technology, nature, culture, spirituality, history, and cosmology—as a medium to shiftparadigms and perspectives. SOL will be held in India’s tourism capital of Goa from 14-18 January 2015, where nearly 100,000 tourists, students, and local residents will have completely free access to everything from large-scale public installations to curated screenings and mind-bending workshops.
The festival will be held at three locations in Goa’s capital city. Outside the Our Lady of Immaculate Conception church in the heart of Panjim, on the promenade opposite the old Goa Medical College Building in Campal and on Miramar beach.
